ABOUT US
Introduction
ICS Magyarország Kft. was established in 2008 with the aim of meeting the tailored machinery needs of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises specialising in cable processing. This activity was founded on a partnership with a German company, granting us representation rights to sell the Dresden-based firm’s world-class machinery in Hungary and several neighbour countries. Drawing on the experience and professional connections gained through our sales operations, we decided to launch our own processing business. Since 2013, we have focused primarily on the processing of waste cables. Nowadays our company is processing 200t cables monthly in cooperation with our experienced stuff.
Experience
The company were started as a small family operation where the owners gained their basic experience on cable recycling by themselves running a small cable shredder – 12kW drive – and granulator – 7,5kW drive. This field experience has been implemented to a basic operational codex of ICS’s daily protocols which were led us to meet international standards. Transparency, proper tracking and open book policies. These are the guidelines of our team which we offer to all our customers.
Equipments in use
Guidetti, Weima, Wagner, Untha, Linde, Kubota, Lukas … are the main brands being used for the processing of copper cables rigid and hair wired. These world class equipment paired with our management and trained stuff is leading to a minimum +98,5% granulate purity together with a maximum 0,5% metal loss.
Copper loss
Cable recycling just like many other activities is a very competitive market where efficiency is the key. Our technology combined with a well experienced stuff are resulting minimal copper loss – if any – together with a extreme efficient recycling process of the household or industrial scrap cables.
Suppliers
Our major customers are scrap dealers and komplex waste management companies. ICS is working with all major Hungarian companies whom are handling waste cable, as well as some smaller enterprises. Due to our production capacity we are focusing on a minimum 5t lots which we can separately handle and give a full report on the cables from the minute it entered to our yard and landed on the big bags as recycled product. During the cable recycling process we are continuously monitoring the Copper and ingredients content of the product and provide a full report to the supplier on its request. Transparency is the key in such business..
Buyers
The company sales its copper granulates to local buyers and also directly to end users like big foundries in Europe.
Business models.
With most of our customers we are working with a system which is based on the valuable material content – in our case this is purely the copper – of the purchased cable waste. A preliminary agreed form is being generated between the parties where all numbers are fixed in advance – except the final Cu% – so when production is done, the purchase price is finalised.
This way the client is maximising profit and ICS is minimising risk on buying material collected by a trader or handler.
There are different cases when we enter into fix price of the cable scrap. This method being used manly in the cases where the processed material is coming from a cable factory or cable confectionery. These are the cases where parties are securely aware the real value of the scrap and therefore the risk factor is eliminated.
Sometimes we do job shopping where we do cable recycling for a fix price agreed in €/t. These are the cases when scrap owners wants to sell their own material in higher prices but already processed.

ISO Certificate
As many other processing companies, ICS Magyarország Kft started as a small family organisation with monthly production of copper granulates of 5 – 8t. Those days the owners were running the production, providing maintenance on equipment and perform logistic services. This collected knowledge provides the basis of the ISO 9001 and 14000 handbooks. The company gained the proper certification in 2019 and the training of the stuff as well as the process control steps are being followed accordingly and keeps us achieve our goal: Recycle Better !
